Are you sure about Robert Rodriguez?
I'm guess here but I'd add Clint Eastwood to the list as well. Pretty much any actor that became a director probably avoided film school.

Robert Rodriguez dropped out of film school. He went school in Austin Texas I think.
He is not a big fan of film school at all, he says it is a waste of money.
