I need some advice, i am trying to write a film proposal for a 10 minute film about my experience as a university student. The winner of the competition gets to be a part of the scriptwriting team. The proposal has top only be one page in length which makes it very hard to know what to include. The proposal is very open ended but there are some interesting pieces of information:

'Your film proposal can take the form of documentary, narrative, drama-documentary, sound and visual experiment, performance piece ? the limit is your imagination. Write an idea for a film about your School experience that is creative, visual and feasible to realise.'

I have an idea of a film proposal, the question i have is basically how do i structure the proposal? How detailed should it be? Should i engage in feasibility issues?

Thanks for your help.

The first line is everything. It needs to grab the reader's attention and make them excited to read more.

So you could start with a dramatic image, a question or a teaser setting up the logline.

Then describe exactly what your film is; the title, what's it about, the genre, the characters, where it's set, the conflict, what happens and how it might end.

Then, most importantly, say why you should be the one to make it and how you would do it!

But that's only my opinion. It's your proposal. Good luck!
