preferably in london..
please list down the names of some school which have relatively longer courses, at least a year or so, also, some which give you some kind of direction and try to help you in getting recruited..

also, what are the chances of getting a job in advertising after studying film? a course like directing or something?

boards,,, dont hit back

1. you should try checking under the directory on this website. (check from the home page) you can do a refined check on what location and duration you want to take your study in the uk.
2. send the schools an email telling them what your interested in and ask them to send you a bulleting or course description. that way you will know what really works for you.

i think adverts are small films i worked in an ad agency as a copywriter for a while so i know. the process is the same only know the client of the product may dictate how they want you to make their brand the hero/ protagonist.. you write, edit and re-write the ad, then present to the client(producer) and finally you get to shoot the thing.
only thing is you might not get to polish your camera, writing, or editing skills which i assume you might take in film school, as you will probably have to major in one while working( even in film i dont think you can do all and have a great film) ... not unless you own the company and want to be involved in all the processes. (it might hinder your sight as all your ideas will end up sounding the same or otherwise)

i would suggest that you get into advertising while you wait for your chosen school to clear your application process.. get in as an intern and see what it is you would want to major in before going into film school.you might want to change your mind and go study marketing for advertising or something like that.
