I, too, started with film. Super 8 and then 16mm. I agree
it's a great place to start, but "the right way to learn"? It
seems to me the right way to learn is different with each
generation. It's good to keep up with technology.

I haven't found this to be the case. I have worked with
young people who grew up using consumer DV and have
