How much is the average price for cast, film equipment, crew insurance? Estimates for both low budget and big budget films?

That all depends on the kind of film that is being made.

Film is a story told with moving pictures...

A good estimate is between 1.5% and 2.5% of the total budjet.

And for a real low budget shoot it could be 10% or more (e.g. $500-$1000 on $5-10k budget).

I have always used *****. They have really good rates plus their insurance policies are legitimate. You have to be careful not to get a "fake" policy. Sometimes production companies sell you a policy under their current insurance for really cheap...but this is illegal and if you have a claim they will not honor it! Check out their website and see for yourself. ?url? http://www. ********.com. ?/url?
