Hello, I am new to this forum.
I wrote my script, got my actors, and I am ready to shoot.
However, I need to know about the clearance for my film
and actors.
Where do I get them?
Danny
You'll need a model release form for your actors - easy to find on the internet. Even if you aren't paying them, you should write up a "Deal Memo".

That's just a sample. You can change it around to fit your needs.
I'm not sure what you mean by a "clearance" for your film. If you explain I might be able to help.

Thank you for helping me!
What I meant was the deal with copyright.
I really want to make movies, but often I'm frightened away by all of the "legal" scares...
I've read numerous articles on copyright but they left me running in circles. If I want to post my movie on the internet, do I need some sort of official copyright? I really don't want to spend the money for an official one, because I just need minimal protection.
But as I've read on the movie sites, they require some sort of "clearance" or protection...
Can you give me some help here?
I'm very, very confused.
Danny
Oh yes, by the way, the "Deal Memo" looks quite complicated and I noticed many parts that I don't need..
Is there a simplified version that just covers it minimally?
My movie is consisted of four actors, and myself as director, writer and editor.
I do not pay my actors, I have my own camcorder and location.
