Thanks CI. Yeah, I'll remove that part and mention about film festivals.
However, the only thing that is left is the email address. I'm not able to find a way to contact the legal department of Facebook.
So, have you sent the letter, Naviobb? How did the Big guys take your request? What did they say?
I am very curious as I am also a big Facebook user and would like to make something related to the internet in the future. 🙂
I want to, but there is no way to contact them. I guess I have to go for some other internet service.
30 seconds of googling for 'facebook corporate contact' yielded the following:
Facebook Headquarters
156 University Ave.
Palo Alto, CA 94301-1605
Phone: 650-543-4800
Fax: 650-543-4801
Another minute of googling, and I got this:
I already saw those two. I don't want to send them a snail mail and wait for ages to get a reply. Moreover, that contact page is for another purpose; therefore, I don't see the point of contacting them through that way. Thanks anyway
Why don't you give them a call? You can transmit the exact same information orally as in writing.

So it isn't that there is no way to contact them, it's that you
don't want to use the contact info that you have.

From the contact page I linked to:

You may also contact Facebook PR at press?facebook.com
or call (650) 543-4811.
I believe a Public Relations department usually deals precisely with kind of requests our OP wants to make (notice that the phone number is different from the general contact info).
As for snail mail option, I would seriously consider making an effort and actually sending a physical letter, as it shows that greater effort has been made in initiating the communication. An e-mail can be drafted and sent in less than 10 minutes; letter must be physically taken to a mail box and mailed. If you feel confident about your oral communication skills, a phone call to the PR department may be an alternative solution to establish initial contact (likely to be followed up by a write-up of the project and whatever their PR required before giving the blessing).
You're right, Vasic. Getting permission of this kind is going to take
some effort. And it may take some time to get an answer. A little
work and some patience can be a great asset to a filmmaker.
