Hi, my name is Andriy, I?m a current student ? Orange Coast College ( http://orangecoastcollege.edu).
As soon as I get my certificate here, I?d like to transfer to one of the European film schools. I?ve already got something to show them, so I guess getting into is not going to be a problem.
Right now I?m pretty interested in HFF Potsdam ( http://www.hff-potsdam.de/).
What can you say about this school? Do you have any info on top-10 European film schools?
Any info and?or comment would be MUCH appreciated!

Your not going to find a whole lot of people whove been to european schools on here. Why europe though? you think because they have culture that their better at film than we are? That would be like an artist leaving italy to learn renaissance sculpture in kentucky.
Well, it really doesnt matter where you go to film school cause their only going to teach you so much of the basics, but if your hoping to find a film job in europe then good luck. Maybe if your a documentary filmmaker you'd have a chance at working for the BBC, otherwise your wasting your time in europe. There's a reason why europe is still in the 80's.

That's pretty subjective and generalistic. I would be much more likely to say they are ahead of us culturally. Europe has almost uniformly adopted a common monetary system, which is economically more stable, they have a stronger artistic base, and have commonly multilingual citizens.

Europe is actually more advanced than north America.
SO unless you've lived in europe and north america I suggest that you keep your comments to yourself and do your reasearch a bit better next time.
I have something to compare, so I know that Europe is my choice.
I have nothing against the US cinema in particular, but I see no future for it.
Anyway, it is not my land, I have no right to take your job.
Do you know some kind of a European filmmaking bulletin board?
There are various boards for specific areas in Europe (e.g. London, Wales), but I'm not sure of any which only, or primarily, have European posters.
Just FYI, London Film School ( http://www.lfs.org.uk/) is my second (or even the first) choice now.
