We are starting a young adult film club (not Adult Film!) and would like to know what we should budget for acquiring all the equipment (from start to finish). And if possible, a comprehensive list of equipment or where to get a list of equipment. Thanks in advance folks!

How about a little more information?

Do you need a list that includes the very basics - camera,
mic, tripod, editing software?

Do you need specifics for each light and piece of grip
equipment?

Do you have a budget of a few hundred for everything? Or
a few thousand? Or tens of thousands.

A "comprehensive list of equipment " could run into hundreds
of items. Do you really want a list of the hundreds of items
used on a film set or are you looking for the basics?

I can type out a list of several hundred items - but do I really
need to do that or will you tell me they you know most of that
list already? I'm glad to help, but I'd like to know what your level
is and how I can help best.

Yeah, we need more info. If you're starting out with nothing then you are going to need a lot of stuff. There's different equipment for each stage of making a movie so if you have to get everything from scratch you can take it one piece at a time.
