Hi
A real noob question 😀
Does anyone know of any good, English-language film schools in Europe, especially Berlin? I'm an EU citizen and would like to study.
Thanks for any advice

Thanks for the link 🙂
I'd really appreciate anyone's experiences, as it's not clear from the directory which schools offer English language course and which are any good (!)
Hi Olly,
I don't know about Berlin, but from what I have heard, the best European film schools are in London. There is also apparently (by reputation) a very good school in Prague, and in Lodz (Poland)- and they teach in English I think.
In London, the best schools are The London Film School, and the National Film and Television School. Goldsmiths also has a decent course. There is also a school outside of London, in Bournemouth, which is very good.
I believe there is a good film school in Berlin-- but I can't remember the name of it now.
It's very hard to find out which is a good film school and which one isn't-- and I would say 95% are not worth going to. But the ones that are good, are very good. And whatever you do, don't go to a school that is "Digital Only"-- because most films, and even TV to some extent, is still shot on 35mm film (and sometimes 16mm).

Very true, olly. But as mazin says, it's really hard
to find a film school considered "good". And relying
on a messageboard isn't really the best way to find
out. Finding enough people who went to any specific
film school in Europe (especially Berlin) to give you
a good, overall feel is nearly impossible. For the
most part you will find people like the school they
went to. If they didn't like their school that doesn't
necessarily make in a bad film school.
I didn't think the directory would give you all the
answers, but it points you in the right direction. You
can begin your research there. Look at the websites
of schools near Berlin; see if they offer classes in
english. Then expand your research to other film
schools in Europe. Read about the schools you are
interested in. Check to see if they offer classes that
interest you. Check their websites to see if they offer
post school options.
What do you mean by "good"? Do you anything specific
you are looking for that would make a film school good?
or bad?
