I have read on most of the film festivals websites that the film must be availible in 35 or 16mm format, now if I filmed in digital, like with an HD camera, how would I go about getting the movie in 16 or 35mm format?
Thanks

p.s. I know im a noob....

You would go to a transfer house and they will do the transfer.

DvFilm, Digitalfilmgroup, Ascent Media, Cineric, Duart, Efilm and many other do these transfers.

Are you sure that most festivals only shot on film? I have entered my SD, MiniDV movie into 35 festivals (including some of the BIG ones) and they don't require a film print.

And maybe you're right. How about sharing the information you have. Which festivals do you know that only accecpt 35mm or 16mm. Your research would be a big help to us.
