My first post - and one for the Canon XL-2 users.
Last weekend I had difficulty figuring out how to hook up an audio mixer into my Canon XL-2. I believe the mixer was an 8-track. Every time I attempted to correct the problem and make adjustments to the camcorder, I kept getting feedback through the sound guy's headphones.
The project was a short film; I think the sound for it will still be usable, although it disturbs me that such a seemingly easy process should be so troublesome. Anybody have any suggestions as to how to fix the problem? (I'm sure it's a solution so obvious I'll be slapping my forehead later.)

Obviously I haven't provided enough information in order to get my question answered. That, or I'm the only XL2 owner on the board. Dang, I hope not.
What other information do I need to disclose? Please enlighten me.

Not enough information, really: the XL2 has XLR inputs (I think), the mixer has an XLR output, you plug it into the camera and it just works. I don't see how you can possibly get feedback if the right output is connected to the right input.
