I sent her an email and she actually replied claiming to be real. What a con artist. I hope they ban her since she used this site.

Oh come now, lets not be so negative, you can't deny that its fun to screw with these folks!
I'm having the time of my life with this one, shes quoting scripture at me, which is a very very bad idea to begin with. Its great! You can be a complete troll and the only response you will get is kindness and gratitude!

I LOVE THESE THINGS!!!

but seriously folks, I relly think we should band together as a team...and cram a massive stick up this persons bum!

That's it! You people have stood in my way long enough! I'm going to clown college!

Haha you were trying to be unracist? If you're trying to be PC then 'dark skinned' is way off the mark, black is far more acceptable nowadays.

I didn't have an issue with the language, more that you pointed it out at all. It's just lazy and ignorant to lable them all 'dark skinned'; how about African, or something more specific. You said it yourself that 'dark skinned' covers a vast majority of people, and labelling all scamsters 'dark skinned' is just a little bit blanket.

I'm not a PC whore, I don't agree with PC whores, but i just felt the defintion you provided was a little bit unnecessary. I'm sorry my initial response was reactionary and insulting.

Hi All,

Just a quick note to ask you to please report any spam you receive from a user of these forums so that we can act to remove the user's account immediately.

You can tell the spam has come from this forum because the email subject line will be: "Sent From filmmaking.net forums by xxxx"

Where "xxxx" is the username of the person who sent the spam.

The recent 419 spam (aka "Nigerian" scam) that came via these forums appears to have been sent by a spammer who went to the trouble of registering a valid email address (albeit it a Yahoo one), confirming, then sending spam to one or more users. We deleted their account about a week ago, but it seems they re-registered and sent another mail to some users yesterday.

Short of disabling the ability to email all users (which I think would be counter productive) there isn't much we can do to combat spammers who want to take the trouble to register, confirm, then manually send mails one at a time to forum members.

Hopefully the hassle involved in doing this is enough to make it a fairly rare occurrence. To reassure you, we also have the following anti-spam measures in place on the forum:

* You can only post if you are a registered user

* To become a registered user, you must supply a valid email address. Email addresses must be confirmed with a unique URL before a registration is complete.

* Automated registrations are prevented by the use of a frequently changing CAPTCHA question (a question which is difficult for an automated process to answer, but simple for a person)

* Email addresses are not shown on the site (unless you post it yourself in a message)

* Forum users cannot see or access the function to email another member unless they are registered AND logged in.

* There are time limits in place as too how many posts and/or email messages can be sent within a set period (again, to prevent automated abuse of the forum)

We're committed to ensuring that these forums remain useful to all legitimate users, so once again, if you receive any spam from here, please report it via the contact form on the site:

?url?www.filmmaking.net/about/contact.asp?subject=spamreport?/url?

To help us deal with it quickly, please include a copy of the full message (including all headers) with your report.

See and I thought by calling his grammar pathetic you mean't that he had used the wrong form of 'there' - should be they're.

Does that make me a super geek?

I fail my right to exercise.
