Hello,
Lately, I've been just working with Macromedia Flash 8 putting small animations together, stickmen, simple backgrounds, little funny stories and I just want to challenge myself a bit...more. Now, I was thinking more in-depth animation but how exactly would I come to do that? Can, I make more detailed animation (not stickmen) with Mac. Flash 8? Or do I need a better program?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Joe.
Depends how detailed you want it. I've seen some pretty amazing stuff done in flash but if your talking about starting to make animated films like professions you may want to start experimenting with a 3d modeling program which allows you to attach a bones system to your model (this is called rigging). You can then manipulate these "digital" bones to create realistic motions. The expensive software that a lot of professionals are using is Maya or 3DS Max. However, there is a great alternative called Blender. You can download blender from their site (?url? http://www.blender.org/download/get-blender/?/url?). To see an example of what can be done with blender check out an Elephant's Dream which was done completely with blender and other open source software (?url? http://orange.blender.org/download?/url?).
