Flat out for professional broadcast/DVD quality which
camera is there better one?
Canon XL1s or Sony VX2000?
What about the Sony VX1000?
Obviously the vx2000 is better than the vx1000 because it's an upgrade, but to answer your question, the quality of those cameras is basically the same. The XL1 and the VX2000 are 3ccd cameras in the "prosumer" category (along with the pd-150, GL-1, GL-2, dvx100, etc...). They have their minor differences, like lens choices, low light capability, etc..., but produce a fairly similar quality picture. With a choice like that it really comes down to what options you like better and what model you feel more comfortable using, not quality. And although they can produce a fairly professional image, the industry standard for broadcast is still Beta and HD when it comes to video, but the lower models like the dvx100 are catching up.
