I have a problem with my camera that is getting increasingly annoying and distracting for me and viewers. When looking through my viewfinder and LCD screen on my camera I see this little blue dot on the right side. I know it isn't a "dead pixel" because those are usually black or grey and don't move, mine is most likely a "stuck pixel". This small pixel is blue in color and sometimes even slightly moves around.
I have looked up ways to fix a "stuck pixel" for LCD monitors and TV's, but not camcorders. One other thing, this pixel is recorded onto the footage itself as well as you can see. Is there any way to fix this on my camcorder or a free program to "clean" my video of this pixel?
Thanks.
Presumably it's either on the lens or the CCD. If it's the latter, then about all you can do is mask it out on every shot, which will be a pain.
Typically camcorders are supposed to detect dead pixels on the CCD and mask them out internally, but maybe this isn't being detected.
