Are there more jobs for editing in California or more in New York. Someone told me New York, but that doesn't seem right to me. Any info

I'd say it's so equal that it would be hard to make a absolute perdiction.
Editing depends on how many movies are shot. The bulk of the studio movies are cut in Los Angeles, but indipendent movies are shot and edited all over the country.
