Things are going well. I just got a reply from the producer saying that his good friend, who is an executive producer, wanted to meet me and my twin brother. He really like the fact that we were so young adn had so much ambition. THey all really like the premise of the script, it's just he script itself has to many problems. One problem is that they say it reads to much like a play. I agree. The thing we keep forgetting is that this is a visual medium so sometimes it's appropriate and sometimes it's not.

I'll keep you informed if I hear anything in the next few weeks.

Things are going great with the script and now weve moved on to the funding part. I still just have a few questions to ask:

-Are there any examples out there that could help me understand BUDGETING a tad more? I have a couple of producing, but some examples would help. More specific I just need to know at least the minumum stuff that ill NEED to make this produciton run smoothly and how much it will cost to do so? As far as sets and stunts I've got a pretty good idea.

-What are the CREW MEMBER I will NEED? How much will the cost?

-On average will a film, with a budget of 500,000 to 750,000, a
distribution deal, and a NAME ACTOR behind it, make it's money back? Or is all that just a good selling point to investors. Is letting the investors know that a distribution deal is in the works a good selling point? What will be some great things to include in my presentation to interested investors?

-What are the elements that tell you a movie will at least break even?

-Is it going to cost a lot to MARKET this film? How do you know?

-Are film festivals worth it? I mean of course if people think your movie is good. Either way, would it be better to try to find distributors first or just go straight for the FESTIVALS?

-How much does it cost to get several older 30's to 50's looking cars int my movie? I've got just a few scenes with cars in the BG, and I'd like to know an estimet on just a few. What about 40's looking FIRE TRUCKS and POLICE CARS?

-Will the budget differ greatly depending on where I live? UTAH is the most likely place we'll shoot.

Now I know some of these questions sound dumb, but things are starting to roll, and I more responsibility was thrown my way. I just don't want to rush in blind and stupid. Any information would be AWESOME!!!
