Ok. I am working on a film right now that will definitely call for a bluescreen. DEFINITELY. But I have no clue how to build one, or even light one.

Does anyone know some easy ways to make a bluescreen without spending a couple of hundred dollars?

Also, on lighting. They say lighting has to be even, but how even? Even to the extent that it has to be the EXACT same shade, or just close?

Just turning 14, I'm a little dumbfounded here. I just need to know how to make it and light it, and I can do the rest. Any help would help beyond no end.

Thanks

I have tried to get an answer for this exact question out of this forum for a long time but i haven't gotten one that explains a cheap way of making one look good. However i've tried many different things and finally came up with one that works good. First of all to get it lit evenly is almost impossible without a professional setup. So i used outdoor lighting when the sun was either directly above or behind the screen itself. This way there are no shadows. For the screen itself u can use painted plywood, however i used a green piece of material that cost me 7$. I then streched it across my open garage door this way it iliminated all shadows in the material. It turned out very well even though i really don't have a good camera. Another suggestion is too have a camera that has manual focus cuz otherwise the camera can't focus on anything until something is placed in front of the green screen and ure picture blurs (also slightly changing the color of ure green). I used adobe premiere to do the effect after.

Thanks, I'll try it.

Do you know what material you used for it? Thanks again!
