What would be the best type of lighting to purchase for filming interviews so that the light is NOT blinding people and they can talk without squinting.

Use a good strong light (1000w) to light the background, a small (200w) scoop light as a "hair light" and a chinese paper lantern with a 400w bulb on a dimmer to light their face.

To save money, a flashlight taped to the handle of a white or silver umbrella works.
