What would be the best camcorder i can get, video quality wise, for around $500-$1000. i i am currently looking at the cannon optura 20, canon elura 50 and panasonic PVGS70. which would be better or if not them any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

I think the PVGS70 should have the best image quality for that price range. A decent site you might want to check is http://www.camcorderinfo.com

I have the Panasonic PVGS70. It's awesome. The only reason i was hesitant to buy it was because of its small size. But the fact that it was 3CCD and came with a free bag and tripod was well worth it. I'm love it, the picture is great! My suggestion is this: Go to www.bhphoto.com and print out their price for the Panasonic PVGS70 and bring it to a Circuit City. They'll beat B&H's price by 10% and you'll get a free tripod and bag. My total came $890 or something like that. -Dean
