I got myself a Canon ZR60. It's not 3CCD but it does have manual options for shutter speed, white balance, and focus. I find the manual focus isn't too good because it is a button so it is hard to gauge how much you've changed it. Other than that I'm very happy with it. It's also fairly cheap so you should have so money left over to get yourself a external mic or something.

i saw a 3 Chip sony at fry's for a grand. it was tiny though. i did'nt feel like looking through all those posts and specifics, but aside from 1 vs. 3 chip cameras the main thing you want to look for is manual capabilities. the more manual features you have the more in control of your picture your going to be. thats my opinion anyway.
