Hello I had written like 4 scripts and I want to turn them into movies. I do not want to sell them to a filmaker. Now I got numerous questions. Where do I start? Do I make appication forms for my actors I want to hire? What people do I need to talk to to get a camera man, audio man, and the rest of the crew. Also how much money do my actors get paid and where/how do i get the money? When the movie is put together do I sell it to the theaters? What type of interveiws will I have with my actors? Last but not lease where is the location for our independent films?
Thanks?:)?

Welcome to filmmaking.net. You start by making short films that you produce, direct and shoot yourself.

Yes, you will need contracts for the actors you hire.
Actors get anywhere from nothing to several thousand dollars. You get money by putting together a business plan and asking for money from people who have money.
No. You sell the movie to distributors - not the theaters.
The location for your independent film is right around the corner.

Keep that enthusiasm. 🙂

Next, I urge that you read chapters one through five (at least) of this book (that I wrote): http://www.randomhouse.com/book/44440/what-i-really-want-to-do-on-set-in-hollywood-by-brian-dzyak/9780823099535/

It will answer all of your current questions about the industry as well as many that you don't even know to ask yet.

Unless you have a specific skill, such as a cameraman, editor or lighting expert, it is very difficult to earn a living through film. You need to find a day job that allows you to pay the bills, but still gives you freedom to take time off to shoot movies.

If you are very eager to get these filmed, then you could always send them to me 🙂 I work as a writer/cameraman/director/actor/sound man for asaqwerty productions. We are a very small film prodcuction company right now, and really would like to get to be more professional about everything. I would like to be able to get the experience by shooting your scripts.

for actors you would hold auditions, movies don't hire actors the traditional way. when your ready to cast, that is after you got your script, your money, your crew in place and location locked in then cast by putting a casting notice on of the major sites. a breakdown is a description of a charachter. actors wil submit then you audition the ones you think are what you had in mind for the role.

Well I just finished my first very very low budget sci fi short in my signature. So I will let you know what I did:

Do I make appication forms for my actors I want to hire?

--> I created a description of each role and posted in Craigslist. I asked all my friends and family who are musicians, actors, etc. I got *tons* of response from Craigslist from actors with lots of experience and found the actors who played the lead roles.

What people do I need to talk to to get a camera man, audio man, and the rest of the crew.

--> I bought an HD cam for $500, an external clip on mic and light for about $200. I filmed and directed the whole thing myself - Ghost Adventurers / Haunted Highway style.

Also how much money do my actors get paid and where/how do i get the money?

--> I paid the three main professional actors I found in Craiglist about $150 each. I got the money from what I make as a webmaster and music producer.

When the movie is put together do I sell it to the theaters?

--> I am using the distrify player and charging $.99 per view. I also applied to Film Festivals via Without a Box and so far it was accepted and screened at the New Film Makers festival in New York City.

What type of interveiws will I have with my actors?

--> Once I found an actor that had 1. Experience (and a good reel) 2. Fit the role 3. Was actually willing and available - I gave them the the job! No interviewing or auditions.

Last but not lease where is the location for our independent films?

--> I shot it in my house, on the street and in a really cool sculpture park.

Wow Dan, that's some really good work you've produced.
I think you're an inspiration for anyone starting out.
Do you have a blog or anything?
