I really need a new battery for my camera, but everywhere I look the price is either way too high, or suspiciously low.
I need a BN-VF714, my camera is JVC so I guess I want JVC brand just to be safe....My cameras a JVC GR-X5.
Anyways for example...

Low price, seems great.
But the actual in store price of the battery, which I HAVE seen in person...

Isn't that weird? Is the cheaper one an unknown brand or something?
I know I shouldn't be posting buy sites, but I really need some help. My camera carries my soul in it, okay not so much, but as a film student I really can't afford to have my expensive camera be destroyed by a faulty battery.
Any help???
*Bump*
Okay figured I'd ask for help one last time.
Basically, are the chances of my camera being killed by a low cost battery high?
Probably not, but it may invalidate the warranty if that happens. I seem to remember that Sony have ways of telling whether you've been using third-party batteries on their cameras, no idea about JVC.
So it doesn't matter much if I spend 50 bucks or 15 bucks?
>.> I feel wrong buying it so cheap.
