Anyone here from Australia? Specifically, the Sydney region?
I'm a year 12 student, doing my HSC, beginning to think about courses & uni.
I most definitely want to do something with film & cinema.
I was just wondering if anyone here does/did any film courses/ went to any film colleges/unis around the Sydney region? If so, please state so. I want to look into as many options as possible.
I would like the course to have a practical and theoretical side. Theory being the study of film and film history etc, plus theoretical aspects of filmmaking as in camera operation and whatnot. And practical being: we MAKE movies.
Any recommendations?

I am from Australia (Melbourne).
And am also in year 12 looking at potential film courses.
I have personally found that Melbourne and Queensland offer the best
film courses from looking around. That is the Victorian College of the Arts course and also Bond university's film course.

That's interesting.. But I would LIKE to stay in Sydney, close to my family and friends...
I guess it all depends in the end though.
