Hi

I'm Gemma and I've been experimenting with the idea of making a movie for the last five years and have finally found the guts to make it happen.

I have a script finished but I'm not really sure what to do next? Can anyone help?

Thanks

Gemma

The next step is to set shoot dates. Then find actors
and a small crew and make your movie!

Hi Gemma I'm Cleary. The best advice that I could give to you is this, plan every thing out thurerly and if youve got a good idea for your film then it will all start to come together. Good planning will save you time, the longer it takes you the more it will cost you (This dosent mean rush it), so good planning = ? saved.

I come on here a lot an know personally that I can rely on the people on here to give me some good advice, so dont hesitate to ask any thing thats on your mind.

Most of the questions that people ask are questions that pop up reguarly any way, so dont be affraid to ask some thing because you think the answers a bit obviouse.

If you have a look back in to the other pages of the forum you will easily be able to learn lots of new thing, but you can always post and ask them your self any way.

Welcome to the forum, Cleary.

Hi Gemma

My advice,
I will do a storyboard of your story. You don?t need to draw well Just plan your shots.
What camera angels how the story is being tell by the camera. By doing this you will see clear what works and what doesn?t. If the storyboard works is a good sign. Maybe show it to people to see if they know what?s going on.

Then if the storyboard is finaly working the photocopy it and divide the story in sequences. Arrange the sequences cut from the storyboard by locations and actors.

This is really your material to plan all the shoots among many others thin. Casting, sets, location, schedule etc.

I will try to have everything pretty much chew out before starting the real production.
-Material for actors
-Schedules
If you have all you need once the production starts you will be on a right track.
Because once you start the production you won?t have that much time to do that planning.

I hope this helps.
