I am interested in making animated movies. From where can I get all the relevant information and guidlines regarding this.

Not a clue.
But a few years ago, I purchased a Steven Spielberg lego thing, where you use stop-motion. Takes 30 frames a second I believe. That might be a camera to start off with, although the quality isn't the greatest. But seeing as how you dont have any experience, you might want to check it out.

Well enough about me, I guess the best place to go is AWN.com. It's the only good animation website I know of. What kind of animated movies are you talking about? 2D(Cartoons, Anime) or 3D(You know, like Final Fantasy The Spirits Within)? And how old are you?
