Hello folks!

I didn't know which was the appropriate forum, but I just wanted to post a brief message to introduce myself. My name's Tom, and I'm new to the site and the message boards. I'm an aspiring independent filmmaker who, along with a group of friends, is currently working on my first film project.

I've already done some reading of information on the main site, and now I'm here to scour the boards and soak up as much information as I can. Please bear with me if I ask a bunch of stupid newbie questions. I wanna try and learn as much as I can to get as much right as possible the first time around.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Hello Tom,

Ditto. I just signed up to this wonderful website and forum. Brand spanking new to video. Just bought a Panasonic GS400 in Malaysia. Currently residing for a year on the island of Mauritius where I'm planning to make a few documentaries and perhaps a horror flick about an urban legend over here. Budget is extremely low so I'm keeping this as a hobby mainly.

For photos on Mauritius and more check out my gallery at:

Cheers,

Gerry

Ask away, Tom.

I think we should change the name of this forum to, "Stupid Newbie Questions Welcomed!"

What's the genre of your movie?
Where are you located?
