I currently have a Sony DVcam. It keeps powering itself off when I am capturing video to computer. How do I keep it on? Is there another camera which will stay on?

Thanks
Howard

If I were you, I'd contact Sony myself and tell them what's going on.

It might sound like an obvious suggestion, but if you're trying to capture from the camera, make sure you are on mains power rather than batteries. This kind of behaviour is common with DV cameras when they are on batteries. The automatically turn themselves off after a certain amount of idle time.

In saying that, if you're camera does this *while* you are actually recording or playing back, you should definitely talk to Sony or take it to an repuatable service centre.
