I have a comedy script and enough material for an entire series, I know most production studio's don't accept unsolicited material so I am wondering if anyone can recommend a good agent/agency to send my script to?

Best regards

Scott

Getting an agent is one of the most difficult things a writer faces.

I'm not sure if it's too different in the UK, but here in the States my advice is to send a query letter to ALL of them. Be aware that all legit agents only earn their money from commission, so their livelihood depends on the writer getting work. Because of that nearly all agents are looking for a writer whit long term potential. The best way for a new writer to show versatility and long term potential is have several, completes scripts to show.

There are many resources for agents in the US - I found this http://www.agents-uk.com/ and this http://www.writersservices.com/agent/uk/agent_uk.htm with a Google search.

Hope it helps

At the risk of sounding completely illiterate, what's a query letter and what should I put in it?
