Some of you might have read my previous topic regarding the 7,000 dollar budget, thanks to all of you who replied. Apparently they want to buy gear and I'm the one in charge of picking out the gear.

I really need help picking out very good light set and sound gear. Fluorescent lights, three light set kit...the works.

I also quoted the following for sound: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart&A=details&Q=&sku=422109&is=REG
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart&A=details&Q=&sku=405341&is=REG

Is there anything missing when it comes to sound?

If any of you can give me a good light setup...for all kind of setups, I would really appreciate it.

Is this gear being brought from the $7000 budget.? If it is that will really lower your shooting budget. If not how much are they talking.

Thanks

By the way, these were the lights I was looking at:

Arri Compact HMI 200W Fresnel Light Kit consists of: Compact 200W Head, 125/200W AC Ballast, Filter Frame and Barndor - 200 Total Watts (90-250V AC)
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart&A=details&Q=&sku=102966&is=REG

Kino Flo Barfly 200 Two Light Fluorescent Kit - consists of: 2- Barfly 200 Fixtures, Ballasts, Louvers, Gel Frames, Mounts, Lamp and Kit Cases - NO Fluorescent Tubes - 220 Total Watts (120VAC)
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart&A=details&Q=&sku=489404&is=REG

Arri Softbank II Tungsten 4 Light Kit - consists of: 3 Fresnel 650, 1 Arrilite 1000 Open Face Light, Barndoors, Scrims, Filter Frames, Stands, Bulbs, 24x32" Softbox, Heavy Duty Case - 2950 Total Watts (220V AC)
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart&A=details&Q=&sku=102963&is=REG

For Sound I was looking at a TESCAM:

Tascam HD-P2 - Portable High Definition Compact Flash Stereo Field Recorder with Time Code and Video Sync with 8GB Microdrive - Kit
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart&A=details&Q=&sku=405341&is=REG

Microphone:
Sennheiser Ultimate Shotgun Microphone Kit - Includes: MKH-60 Shotgun Microphone, Rycote Windshield Kit, Cabled Boom Pole and Canare XLR Cable
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart&A=details&Q=&sku=422109&is=REG

Oh and one last question, I was looking at this FS-100 Firestore addon for the HVX200, which is the camera we're going to buy for sure. That's like a Harddrive addon you put ON THE CAMERA right? Which means I won't need to add p2 cards? Is it worth just buying that one...and dropping the p2 cards?

Panasonic FS-100-160 FireStore for Panasonic AG-HVX200, Direct-To-Edit DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO/DV, 160 GB
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart&A=details&Q=&sku=523249&is=REG

Is there anything I need to add or replace?

The budget goes up IF we buy the gear. So they got a 50k budget for gear.

That's right. Probably more, but it would be great if I don't go over budget. I checked most of the stuff we're buying and it's hitting the 45k mark...including overseas shipping. Of course we need to pay taxes onces it gets here, but that's another story.
Hopefully the stuff I got here is what I need...and I'm not missing anything.

Marco,
It is very hard to determine the lighting set-up without knowing the size of your locations and the way you want to light (mood, tone, look). Many variables go into determining the look for your film as a whole and for the look for each scene and the set-ups for each scene. You may want to rent lighting for large scenes...and buy a basic set-up for the majority of your scenes.

As far as using the hard drives for your camera. Determine how quickly you will be able to download the data in order to re-use the hard drives. Otherwise you may need a few in order to be able to continue shooting without stopping/waiting for the hard drivers to be downloaded and returned...ready for use again.

Thanks for your response Kess. Is there any kit I can buy that would do the job for most kind of locations? I mean there has to be a kit we can use for most situations. About the harddrive. We just purchased the HVX200 with an extra P2 Card. If the workflow isn't working for us. We'll pick up a firestorm.

I own this Arri kit:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/72158-REG/Arri_571987_Super_Combo_Tungsten_4.html

And this Lowel kit
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/287723-REG/Lowel_TORP_955_Super_Ambi_Six_Light.html

I supliment them with paper lanterns, foamcore and a Kinoflo
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/266119-REG/Kino_Flo_KIT_D2_230_2_Diva_Lite_200_2_Light.html

For most of my location needs these lights do the job.
