Hey guys, I use Adobe Premeire pro as my primary video editing software - I also have After Effects 6.0 installed but i never use it - it just doesn't make sence to me! Anyone know of any good tutorials for Adobe After effects?

is there really anything After Effects can do that Premiere can't??

Whilst both both programs contain some shared functionality, After Effects is a completely different application to Premiere. Premiere is primarily an editing package, where as After Effects (as the name suggests) is about creating special effects.

After Effects has more in common with animation packages (i.e. it uses key frames, layers, etc to create the desired results). It is a complex program and requires a lot of work to master using. For the price however, it is very powerful (although working at super high resolutions requires serious hardware).

For tutorials, start at the Adobe web site - www.adobe.com - and also see what comes up in Google. There are also plenty of books on the subject. See ?url? http://www.filmmaking.net/store/sub_category.asp?id=13?/url? for starters.
