Only joking!?:D?

Ok, for real now. I'm a 2nd year college student living in England, and about to emigrate to Queensland, Australia sometime at the end of this year or the beginning of the next with my family. Last year, in summer, I went into a Virgin Megastore and bought The Matrix Ultimate Collection for DVD, and promptly decided that, after watching it, it was the best movie I'd ever seen. (The first one, I mean; not to detract from the quality of the 2nd and 3rd movies, but I felt that the storytelling was best in the 1st one). A few months later, I decided to do it a bit of credit and watch the rest of the 28 hours or so worth of extras and featurettes, and after watching the feature on how it was made, I thought "Jesus, that's f**king incredible" and a whole other bunch of thoughts on the brilliance of the whole movie-making process; I promptly decided that I wanted to be a filmmaker. Fast-forward a few months to now, and I've been looking for good film-schools to go to in the vicinity of Queensland; there seem to be a nice number of seemingly good-quality schools in that area but, when clicking on their names in the Filmmaking.Net catalogue, there only seems to be a list of names, contact details such as websites etc, their equipment and software, but nothing about how good they are at teaching. I?ve checked out their websites already, but it?s hard to get an objective opinion on their quality from their own websites. So, I was wondering ?Why not join the forums, and ask around for anybody who?s already been to one of these schools and see what they thought of it??, which brings me now to ask anyone who?s been to such places (any known, proper film schools in Queensland, Australia) of their opinions and experiences?

Thanks,
Rand

By the way, I tried to ask the question ?Are film schools who offer courses on television and radio, as well as film courses, any better or worse than film schools who offer film courses only, for people who want to be filmmakers?? in the ?suggest questions?answers? section of the FAQ, but got an error message about the page not being able to load when trying to enter the question. Any help on this?

Sorry about the extreme length;??)? it?s really hard to say something like the above in short; hell, it?s taken me 30 words alone to say sorry for the bloody length!!?:I?

Where there's a will, there's a way
