Guys I have question.
Does each shot should have meaning in it. For Example: I am trying a one minute film, so I have to establish two characters(8 yrs old boys)at a river bank, throwing stones in water. So what all shots can I use to establish the river, the stones, the surrounding and the two boys. So that it has an impact on the audience. The main subject is the Stones and the boys

Well it depends if you want it to or not. Meaning is sometimes hard to convey. You certainly shouldn't have any useless shots. Everything should be shown for a reason and be relevant to the story you are telling. I would just try to get a lot of good shots and use them to set a pace and maybe have wide shots of the river and then cut to a closer shot then an even closer shot until you are on a tight shot of the rocks and then after a few seconds of focusing on the rocks have one of the boys reach into frame and pick up the stone. That's a good place to start if you want the audience to focus on these elements of the story.

Sorry for the late reply. I am new to this forum but I always used to visit this site.
Yes I got wat u saying, I planning to have wide range of shots and while editing see to that it appeals to audience what I m actually potraying in d movie. Since the movie length is 1min. Everything has to be precise and perfect.
