what do you guys prefer, the look of 8 MM film or the look for a higher end prosumer mini-DV camera like the Sony PD-150 or the Canon?
how good does the digital tech have to be for you guys to prefer it to 8 MM?

i'd take 8mm film over any video any day.
thats just me. i think digital techonoligy sucks.
that said, its not practical for 90% of film makers including me.

I love the look of super8. I just posted in that announcements section that our super8 short is now online. It's still being worked on and the music is being composed, but you'll get the basic idea. If you haven't seen the look of super8 before, check it out, even though the compression is sucky.
