I'm writing a screenplay for a short film that should be 25-30 minutes in length, will it be possible to submit this anywhere? I have an awesome story idea, and (so far) at ten pages in it's coming out great, but I don't think I can stretch it to feature length for logistical, financial, and creative reasons, and shortening it to 15 minutes or less just won't work because I can't fit everything in.

Heck, I may have to edit agressively just to get it under 30. Any thoughts?

there are many filmfestivals that have contests/competitions for shorts.
i'd suggest checking out britfilms.com - they have a directory of almost all the festivals on planet earth, you can also check under the link 'events ' for any up and comming stuff that you can post your short film on.
Good luck writing! and with the submission!

also if you make an account at withoutabox.com you will find a great list of festivals. They even break it down between 1st year festivals and "academy award worthy" festivals. I would highly suggest using that site.
