Hi,
Does anyone know what costs are involved in transferring a 16mm negative directly onto video? And how easy and costly is it to edit video?
I have a ten minute short I want to film and have very little in the way of a budget so I'm looking for cheap solutions.
Thanks a heap!
Zed
If you have a tiny budget, you'd be better off staying away from 16mm and shooting on digital video. This will be *alot* cheaper.
if you do shoot film, most labs will provide one-light rushes for you on VHS included in the price. If you want better formats or balanced telecines, they'll obviously charge you extra.
