What it is:
The Compassion Campaign is a platform for filmmakers to express their visions of global compassion as part of a You Tube video contest. The Compassion Campaign will be the first in a series of video contests that focus on creating a peaceful planet and building a sustainable future.
When:
The Compassion Campaign contest will launch on September 15. The videos will be posted on You Tube. The contest has an 12 week time span, from the launch on Sept 15 to the announcement of the winner on Dec 15. The video with the most views by the cut-off date wins a cash prize.
The contest provides a forum of possibilities for positive change. Together we are creating a collective expression of possibilities for the planet through the sharing of our hopes, dreams and visions.
The Vision:
The world today is going through a major transformation. We are facing shifts in the global environment and shifts in the global economy. We face urgent issues regarding our natural resources and a growing need for alternative energy sources. Theres no single solution to the issues we face. There are as many solutions as there are people on the planet.
Global change begins with the individual, starting with a sense of compassion and growing into personal participation. We can each begin by tapping our greatest resource of all: the unlimited compassion of the human heart.
Art, music and film have the power to cut through the lines of politics, economics, religion and rhetoric by moving directly into the heart. Calling all dreamers, visionaries and socially conscious film makers!

The contest:
Filmmakers are provided with a theme song about global compassion to be used as a soundtrack for their video. We are creating a new realityone dream at a time.
