Check it out. It's something we made yesterday, and I edited it this morning.
"The shed". Knock, Knock.

I am only seeing up to the part where he climbs under the door, then nothing...is it me or the link?

Me too. It gets cut off when he starts crawling under the door.
Looks good though...

Should be fixed now. Sorry about that. CC appreciated.

I liked the lighting in this and the smooth quality of the final film edit. I think it would help to have a cut to a different angle during the man in black's walk...it seems a little stretched. Also, after the man is crushed in the garage door, their is no reference connection to the opening door for Man in Black. As I viewer I did not know whether it was another house, the garage, or really where it was. Finnaly, perhaps obscuring the man in black's face more would add to the mysterious forboding effect. When it came into the light, I just wasn't scared at all of him....if I could not see his face...well that always is scarier.
I really liked this though. What camera did you use, and post prodcution editing programs?
I hope this helps.

Thanks for checking it out, and thanks for the comments. Yeah we are most likely going to shoot this again, this was more of a test. Good point about the door on the other side, thanks. It was shot on a cheap sony camcorder - and edited with Adobe Premiere elements (cheap, does the job for me) using Magic Bullet filters.

I liked it! I would add a noise so it makes more sense for you to go to the garage and find him. I would also shorten your reaction to seeing him all tied up.
Looks great though! Maybe a ski mask might work for the bad guy!
Good work!

Very nicely done, the one change I would make is when the door is crushing the guy you cut to a shot of the guy, and its very blurry, followed by a shaky shot that gives the impression of an earthquake more than anything else.
Change that to a cut of him lying still, garage door shaking slightly. Add an expanding pool of blood if you want it a bit gorier.

job well done. Nice lighting. Creepy music. haha and the "knock knock" is awesome. I wouldnt show the villians face at the end. Maybe just do a silohette or just have a shadow come over the tied up kid and have the tied up kid scream. I think its creepier when you dont see something clearly, especially the bad guy. Not to mention it will make people want to see it more cause they are gonna wonder who or what the black figure is. nice trailer though.

it's good. one thing you should clean up is the kid's voice. it suddenly cuts off when the CU shot cuts to the wide. ?:)?
