Submissions for the Second Annual Haydenfilms Online Film Festival are now being accepted to compete for a $10,000 grand prize!

All student and independent films of any genre are welcome. A judging panel consisting of film experts and professors from New York University, Central Michigan University, Ohio University School of Film, Rochester Institute of Technology, and others will critique each film to elect the finalists that will have their film showcased on our site for two months.

Each finalist will receive a Haydenfilms Marketing Kit including merchandise and materials to promote their film on the Haydenfilms website. Members of Haydenfilms are able to view, vote, and write reviews on the films, and the film with the highest average score from valid votes will be awarded the $10,000 grand prize at our awards ceremony at the DGA Theater.

The site is also a wonderful networking tool for anyone in entertainment, featuring a Crew Database for collaborative efforts, a Production Board for cast and crew calls, and a Resource section.

MEMBERSHIP IS FREE, and an annual Viewer?s Appreciation Award is granted to a Haydenfilms Member, chosen at random.

The $10,000 grand prize winner from Season One will be announced and awarded at the DGA Theater in NYC on January 12th, 2006!

Thanks to broadband technologies, going global with your work on an extremely limited budget is now possible. I reccommend using outlets on the world wide web. ONLINE film festivals such as ours at Haydenfilms.com, are providing you with wider distribution, whereas film festivals that are at a set location are limiting the number of eyes that see your work.

Also, online communities such as www.myspace.com are a great way to network with other filmmakers. The site allows you to create a "web site" of your own, all about you, and actually allows you to upload your short films so others can view it. Communities such as these are great ways to promote your work, find many contacts, and potential sponsors. The link that you provided certainly proves that you are very talented.
