Come and see the award-winning independent feature film "Taffy Was Born" which makes its North West premiere at the Forest Grove International Film Festival.
"Taffy Was Born" was written/directed/produced by New York Filmmaker David Giardina. It has won awards for Best Director at the NY International Independent Film Festival in LA, Audience Choice for Best Feature at the NY International Independent Film Festival in NY, Honorable Mention for Best Feature at the Genesis Media Group Competion and most recently the film was screened at the Cannes Film Festival market in May.
The psychological mystery stars Oregon native Madalyn McKay as Aunt Min. Ms. McKay will be familar to tv viewers as the lady armor and opera horns singing "Cheese glorious cheese!" on the Food Network. She also recently appeared on a two-part episode of "Law and Order".
"Taffy Was Born" concerns a troubled man returning to his small home town after many years away hoping to reclaim his life- but something is very wrong. Why is everyone increasingly uncomfortable with him? Is it his jail time, his history of mental illness...or is it something far worse?
