MONO NO AWARE is a cinema-arts non-profit organization and film-positive community whose mission is to support artists and filmmakers with an interest in traditional film making on actual film. Our educational initiatives begin this March 2nd with a free workshop open to the public, and continue through out April-May into summer. Workshops are structured to provide materials, equipment access, processing, and production support to conceive, shoot, edit and project your own work on film. We include an HD transfer of your finished work and host a free screening premiere party. Affordability and accessibility are central to our ethos, most all classes are below actual cost thanks to partnerships with production houses and the support of NYSCA ; New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. Check out the offerings below and we hope to see you this Spring!
