IAO Call for Film and Video Submissions
Reel Scary
Deadline: Monday, August 30, 2010
Individual Artists of Oklahoma is seeking submissions for Reel Scary, the first installment of the organization's newest film and video initiative, Reel Time. Reel Scary's screening series will launch IAO's fall programming in film and video and explores both image and text as sites for evocation, affect, sensory environments and audiovisual ecologies. IAO welcomes short and feature film and video submissions in three areas: documentary films, short films, and video works. Local, national and international artists and artist collectives are encouraged to submit their work. Documentary submissions should be no longer than two hours in length. Short films and video submissions should be no longer than 30 minutes in length. Each submission should include: a one-page typed artist statement, the artist's or artists' curriculum vitae(s), a brief typed description of the work submitted including the title and length of the work, and a self-addressed stamped envelope for submission returns. The deadline for submissions is Monday, August 30, 2010. Submissions will be reviewed by IAO's Film and Video Programming Committee and selected artists will be notified by Monday, September 20, 2010.
