I submitted this film to an amateur film competition and I am still waiting for the results.

I'd love any feedback that anyone might have.

It's better than a lot of low-budget shorts I've seen: the story basically makes sense though I'm not sure it quite explains enough, it feels a little slow, but nowhere near as bad as many shorts that stuff a five minute story into a fifteen minute movie, and while the choice of shots often seemed a bit arbitrary, they are edited together in a manner that allows you to follow the story. I've even seen shorts with sizable budgets at fairly up-market film festivals where I just had no clue as to what was supposed to be happening!

Obviously there are a lot of issues on the technical level (acting, lighting, sound, etc), but I'm sure that's just down to not having a budget to do things properly. Using the phones is quite clever to that extent, because you can lay the dialog on afterwards rather than having to record it on location.

Thanks for the comments Mark. I'm glad you liked it.

The technical issues in this still bother me. It's mostly because I went from conception to final product in under three weeks and of course, my budget. I'm hoping to maybe win some cash so that I'll have better tools next time around.

Keep 'em coming!
