Staged Readings of award winning material from the 2005 Screenplay & Teleplay Competitions performed by theater groups from across Los Angeles begin April 3, 2006 at the Village. Featured actors, a calendar of events and information on the screenplays, teleplays and writers are available on the Slamdance website. Admission is FREE!

Slamdance?s 99k Feature Project
The 99k Feature Project is open to all aspiring filmmakers and screenwriters that want insight into the world of independent filmmaking from practicing filmmakers, producers, screenwriters, writer/directors and leading industry experts; we?ll answer the question, ?how do films get made outside the studio system?? Two special screenings of films from the 2006 Slamdance Film Festival are included in the entry fee. Sign up online today!

The Slamdance Screenwriters Lab
Our Screenwriters Lab is open to all participants at any writing level. Classes offered focus on either developing the first thirty pages of a new project or completing a final draft of an existing piece over the course of one month. Instructors will help guide revisions of your original draft in a weekly classroom setting with additional private consultations. Register by March 27th. Classes start April 1st.
