An emergency alert for all those that love independent films. You may not have heard of Jails, Hospitals, & Hip-Hop, but its lack of exposure is only an example of what the main stream media, government, and society wishes for the common man to see and more importantly, not to see. The film is nearly a one-man monologue performed by the immensely talented Danny Hoch. A New York City native, Hoch uses rhyme, rap, and comedy to critique the injustices and hypocrisy in our present society. Hoch incorporates multiple characters to illustrate how issues such as drugs, poverty, and racism (among other things) are either overestimated, ignored, and/or are secretly prevalent in this modern culture. He has performed the monologue in prisons and to audiences in theaters. If you are an interested film student, an aspiring actor/actress, a lover of language, or an activist who fights for social justice go to www.jhhthfilm.com and spread the word. Peace
