Dallas, TX, -- September 19, 2003 - Dallas-based Tempest Production Company announced today that they have been invited to screen their documentary feature Invasion: Anime at the 2003 Midwest Entertainment Industry Conference (MEIC) in Lexington, KY and the 2004 Sci-Fi-London Film Festival, sponsored by the UK Sci-Fi Channel in London, England. MEIC will be held November 13-16, 2003 and the Sci-Fi-London festival is scheduled for January 31-February 2, 2004. Specific screening times and dates for Invasion: Anime are currently unavailable.
Invasion: Anime most recently screened earlier this month at the Great Lakes International Film Festival in Pennsylvania and the Sliverlake Film Festival in Los Angeles. Additional screenings are scheduled in late October at the Savannah Film Festival where director Angie Alexander and editor Mike Hathaway will also participate in industry panel discussions.
Invasion: Anime is a broad look at the history of Japanese animation (or "anime") and its effect on American culture and entertainment over the last half-century.
