Hi Guys,
Thought u may be interested in my first movie FREAK OUT. It took us over FOUR years to shoot, it cost ?30,000 and was shot on 16mm with an ARRI Bl. Nobody involved in the movie had any contact with the Brit film-industry and everyone involved was a wet-behind-the-ears first timer.
After years of blood, sweat and beers we've finally recieved some great news in the form of a confirmed release by those nice peops at ANCHOR BAY. The DVD is pencilled in for a late Spring release.
This is an amazing turn of events for us and we still can't believe that a movie starring our pals and filmed in our neigbourhood has gained such a positive world-wide response.

We have just had an interview go online that u guys may be interested in, check it out;
yah i am usually not intrested in comedy or horror movies but for some reason the combination of both makes it irrestible. that interview is funny shit hahaahahah.....
You're right Beetle - that interview is the biz - made me laugh!
I'm new to this place, make forum space for the new boy.
I think this 'Freak Out' looks great, not too horror but plenty of comedy and let's face it, if you're doing a real low budget movie it's best not to be too dramatic. What's your film going to be about Beetle?
I think I'm gonna snap up the Freak Out DVD when it comes out, I'm so darn curious to see what they did on so little money - I'd like to do the same with my own project but I'm not sure how long my excitement to actually do it will last.
Do you know if they shot on film or digital?
Bud
Thanks Bud. We shot on 16mm film, a mix of stock that we purchased and off-cuts that we picked up from generous production houses and commercial companies, we'd often get old cans with stuff like; SPICE GIRLS PEPSI COMMERCIAL scrawled on the side.
Bud Spencer: I'm still working on the concept for my story but lets just say it involves some hard hitting gangsters and a poolcue;)
Make sure you stick with it Beetle - the movie industry needs a movie like the one it sounds like you are making.
Have you downloaded the Freak Out trailer yet? I wanna know what you thought of it - you tell me and I'll tell you!
