About
These three students at Plymouth College Of Art And Design are three very ambitious young filmmakers and this event is to celebrate their final projects for their course: BA (hons) Photomedia And Design Communications, and to get their talent, raw as it is, to the attention of the local media industry. If you are looking for hard working, talented new blood for the local media, this is where you will find it. The evening is also an opportunity for networking between new and existing media professionals.
We have a great deal of interest from within the film industry - influential people from the Arts Council, BBC, ITV and sky will be an attendance, for example. Out films will then go on to other screenings abroad including at the Apocolipstick nightclub in Hollywood, LA.
Also on show will be the student's portfolios, as well as free VCDs and prints of images from the films.

Synopsis for The Son Of The King
The Son Of The King is a 10-minute drama based on Arthurian legend. In the aftermath of the evil Mordred's overthrow of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, there is only one danger to the ongoing rule of Mordred and his witch Morganna La Fay, the fact that in a remote moor-land village, live Guinevere and Lancelot, guarding King Arthur's son Corian, with whom Guinevere had been pregnant when banished from Camelot.
As Corian is rushed to safety the witches battle to outwit each other, Morganna to discover and kill Corian, and Aviana to protect herself and the other three during their escape. Who knows if, in the short term, good or evil will win?

Synopsis for Dead Awake
Have you ever wondered about the Victorians fear of being buried alive, and the scientific origins of such a fear? This short drama film documents the rare medical condition Narcolepsy Cataplexy, in which the victim appears to be clinically dead, but is actually aurally fully aware of what goes in around them.
The protagonist, Jade, must will herself out of her deep coma and make contact with the outside world before its too late?

If you would like to come please contact one of us and we will be delighetd to post your formal invitations to you.

Sincerely

Laura Jury
