Yeah Scoopicman, I get most of my ideas at work. I always come home with notes for ideas. I just gotta buckle down and finish my projects that I'm working on now before I start any more 😛

Nice!! I feel fortunate to be in on the ground floor of your website. I'll keep checking. BTW, I mailed THE AWAKENING. Like I said, it has a lower budget, but the 100 minute story and the violent set pieces should keep your attention.

I was checking out your Halloween picks over the past few years. Pretty cool selections. I have seen both EVIL ALIENS and ALTERED. The former has a lower budget and kind of goes all over the place, not really focusing. It's okay and fun, but could have been much better.

ALTERED, on the other hand, had me riveted. The trailer sucks, but the movie is very tense. Once you get past the capturing the alien scene it ramps up the suspense. The ending is a doozy, too.

I also notice that you don't like the direction that movies a going, nowadays. Horror is kind of down, but it always comes back. I'm very satisfied on the sci-fi front. By the time this year ends with AVATAR, it will have been one of the biggest sci-fi years ever. Even direct to video stuff like OUTLANDER was of high quality. I really enjoyed that and there's some good monster stuff near the end. Ridley Scott is directing a prequel to his ALIEN, so I'm stoked about that!

I too think that the 80's was the greatest horror decade. I'm guessing that you saw Peter Jackson's early stuff, like BAD TASTE? I've seen that more than 20 times. His DEAD ALIVE was amazing, too.

Yeah I'm pretty stoked for Altered. It sounded pretty awesome. I haven't actually watched the Alien movies yet....but come halloween I will be.

I gotta agree with you on Outlander. That movie was awesome. I was pretty much in awe through the whole thing. I guess what I meant by the way movies are going I mean the ones in the theatre. I haven't had a very riveting experience in the theatre as it relates to horror in a long time. Plus all the remakes (well not all but most) are getting pretty annoying. BUT there are a LOAD of direct to dvd titles that are just amazing. Have you seen splinter? That movie is insane. I don't really even bother with the theatre much anymore unless its a big action movie or something my fiance wants to see.

I'm pretty excited for District 9. I think it has a lot of potential to be really good.

If you go here you can see my dvd collection.

If you go here you can see whats on my "want" list.

A majority of them I've seen but haven't found on dvd yet.

Unfortunately it doesn't have VHS tapes so my stock pile of videos aren't on there.

I have SPLINTER and I really enjoyed it. As far as theater fare, DRAG ME TO HELL was pretty fun.

Nice DVD collection! So your VHS titles aren't on there? I'm going through a late 70's, early 80's sci-fi/horror acquisition phase. Just watched INSEMINOID for the first time. Definitely a guilty pleasure! Already have XTRO, GALAXY OF TERROR and CREATURE, but need to watch these again. FORBIDDEN WORLD, DEMONOID and LASERBLAST have all been ordered and are now on their way.

I'm guessing your VHS collection has DAGON, MUTE WITNESS, THE PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS, CAT PEOPLE, CAT'S EYE, CREEPSHOW, THE HITCHER, VIDEODROME, DEMON KNIGHT, INNOCENT BLOOD, etc.? If not, check some of these out.

Just wanted to post a little update. I guess Disney's JOHN CARTER OF MARS is shooting at the locations we used in Utah. One of the production guys said that they were influenced by amazing pictures from a sci-fi indie movie...... When my buddy asked him if it was EXILE, he paused and changed the subject! I don't know what the big deal was.

I got a copy of the Japan artwork:

I'll post other countries, as I get them. No word from Comcast VOD on when they will offer EXILE. It's supposed to roll out in Philadelphia, first. If anyone sees/hears anything, please let me know.

I wonder what happened to the reevue.co.uk website? I thought it was pretty cool.

Hey

I had a nightmare with the site i lost absolutly everything and slowing bringing stuff back via the cached pages on google, very mind numbing way of doing things - But Reevue is finally back up and running but i thought i'd just do the place as a film blog for now.

Hope your still making films and will be good to get back up reviewing indie films

Thanks for the update, Michael. I checked out the blog and I hope you are able to recover most of your stuff. I was searching the google caches for your EXILE review, but I didn't find it. I'm putting together a new trailer with some review quotes. Keep me posted!
